“Super Affiliate” Status… Sounds Great doesn’t it!
So how do we get there?
The Simple answer is, “One Step at a Time” or as our Blog Title suggest, “One Rung” on the ladder, at a time.
Our next step in our “Journey” has brought us to Setting Goals. Let’s be Honest, if you never set a goal, you’ll be sure never to reach it. Designing your Dream Lifestyle, Dream House, Dream Car, Dream Place to Live… I must admit that I really didn’t understand how this tied into making money online until after I went through the training. Why should I care about something so far away and that seemed so far out, that it would be impossible to reach?
If we start with the Big Picture, we then have a Goal or Target to shoot for… The Top of the Ladder is where we want to end up.
How do we reach the Top of the Ladder? First, you need to make sure that you have placed your Ladder on something that is Solid, Balanced, and stable. Once that is done, you can plan and set the Goals for each Rung of the ladder. Maybe the first Rung is equal to $1 per day, maybe the next is $10 per day, and maybe the next is $100 per day and so on… If you keep your focus on reaching your goals, you will climb that ladder. How many RUNGS are on your ladder?
Where I have failed many times, is by thinking that the business was more like an Escalator than it was a ladder. The lesson I learned was that even though it had the appearance of being able to reach my goals and dreams, I was still standing in the same place, on the first step that I took. It’s very hard to reach your goals when you are standing still.Β
Once I turned my Escalator into a Ladder, I began to see changes, as well as Opportunities. One of these Opportunities was Joining Deans Program at Internet Profits. Unlike most programs out there today, Dean and his team want to help you succeed. I guess you could say, they are ensuring that your ladder is stable as they brace the bottom. If your legs get shaky, they are there to help you get past the place that you are stuck in, and Dean himself is at the top securing the ladder and helping pull you all the way to the top.
It’s hard to believe that this all started for us with a single book, but it’s true!Β Having Great Mentors and Coaches, that help you along the way, as you build your business, works. It’s just a plain fact. Learning from their mistakes, has saved us a bunch of headaches as well as an untold number of Hours that it would have taken for us to figure things out on our own.
Here is the link to find out more about >> Dean’s program << (We recommend this program for those that are truly interested in building a Successful Affiliate Marketing business and are Dedicated to doing so in an Ethical and Honest fashion)
Hey David
I LOVE that analogy, what a great way of looking at it!
“One rung at a time”
So true!!
And as for setting goals… So few people do it!
But consider this… If you don’t know where you’re going (and why) – How can you get there…?
And even if you begin, how do you know if you’re on track or not?
Simply put – You dont!
Great post, I for one cannot wait to watch you continue and reach your goals so keep up the great work!
Dean
Thank you Dean for your comment! Funny you should mention “How can you get there” because I’m covering that in one of my upcoming post and compare our journey in affiliate marketing to taking a vacation trip and getting things ready to go before starting our journey. Looking forward to our Journey together in 2024!!!
HI David,
Ok you have rungs I have steps. π I really enjoyed what you wrote. And I agree 100% setting the goals, small ones then adding bigger ones as we grow.. Can’t wait to read what you post next time.
I’m a fan..
Thanks Sandy
Thank Sandy, I decided to used the ladder as an example because it represents my journey pretty well. I have had times that I was affraid of Heights, I have gotten nervous when it seemed that it started to shake, I have even fell off a time or two because I didn’t have the right support at the top or at the bottom. But now with Internet Profits, I feel that we are well braced for the Journey Ahead!
David,
Goal setting is an important part to reaching our goals. Without it how will we know the direction to head in. I heard a good lesson today on goals and being resolved. The speak said goals are the destination but the resolve is the unwavering commitment to reach those goals. It takes both to succeed for one without the other only leaves one with a unfulfilled dream.
Another import part of goal setting is accountability and as you mentioned having a mentor is key to reach goals. Goals are aways easier to achieve when you don’t go it alone.
My hope is for. you to reach your goals and dreams. Thanks for sharing. CJ
CJ, thank you for commenting. I agree with you 100 % !! I can’t imagine anyone entering a race with the goal of coming in last place. However, If we enter a race with no Goal, that is exactly where we will end up! So here is to Goal setting, being held accountable, and reaching those goals in 2024!! Continuing on with “Unwavering Commitment” So True!
Hi David,
I love your analogy of ladders and shaky legs. I think it can apply to bright shiny objects and get rich quick schemes too.
Like climbing a ladder that looks bright and shiny, but coated with oil. You can easily fall from the ladder and end up hurting yourself. That’s why it is important to pick the right ladder to climb.
Very well said Alan! I agree 100% that a greased ladder can cause more harm than good. Finding one that can be extended to a never ending level and that is sturdy is almost impossible… Internet Profits has been that exception and rare find for us!
Hi David,
Thanks for sharing . Yes clearly defined goals written down and knowing why you want to achieve those goals are very important in building a business. Then taking daily action and never giving up to reach your target.
I look forward to checking back on your progress.
Steve Moore recently posted…Talking to Myself. My Journey Through the Affiliate Marketing World
Thank you for the comment Steve, To look back and see where we have come from to where we are now… since joining Dean’s program, we have already exceeded what we thought we would ever accomplished in this short amount of time. Keep it going and NEVER give up!!!
David, great blog post. Ladders are a great analogy and we do have to go one step at a time. The problem with affiliate marketing is there so much rubbish out there that itβs not just ladders but thereβs snakes as well so here we are playing a game of snakes and ladders. But with the guidance of Dean and the great plan that we are on the snakes should be kept out of the way so you can carry on climbing the ladder. All the best > Atif
Thank you for the comment! I agree, there are a lot of snakes out there. That’s one of the great things about having a Mentor and coaches, They know what they look like and can let you know when they see one. As I have said many times, I only wish I would have found them sooner… Imagine where we would have been today if we would have found them several years ago…
David,
Hello! I loved your ladder analogy! It breaks things down so that it can be understood. One rung at a time, with each one being a bit bigger goal. See you at the top of that ladder!
Kelli
Thank you Kelli for your comment! I have climbed a lot of shakey ladders in the past, but the one I’m on now is rock solid!!! π DEFINITELY SEE YOU AT THE TOP!
