Tuesday, we tried something new in the Affiliate System called the “Social Planner”.
We linked it to our Facebook account to see if we could pre-schedule a post to our Facebook Page that would share our Blog Post at the same time it went LIVE on our Blog Page.
We finished Tuesdays scheduled Blog Post over the weekend and decided to Experiment with a few of the “Extras” in the System.
When you open the Social Planner, you get to choose either a weekly or monthly based calendar.
When you click on a specific day, you get a somewhat simple page where you choose the Social Account you wish to “Post To” and an area to write a simple message. On the right of the window is a preview window that shows you how your post will appear on the Social Account you decided to use. (You also can pick Multiple accounts to share your post on)
We decided to try this Social Planner out to see how it works, we took the last post we wrote on Sunday and scheduled it to be posted on 3/12/24. We used the Social Planner to see if we could make an Automated Post to our Facebook page that announced that Blog Post.
The Results are in….
Our test worked just as it was supposed to…
Our Affiliate System, using the “Social Planner” was able to post directly to our Facebook Page. This will allow us to Pre-Schedule our Post across multiple platforms at the same time all from one place.
This adds one more step of convenience in our business while saving time by not having to post on each individual platform.
Just one more step in seeing Dreams Discovered!
Thanks for sharing your experience with the social planner. I have been somewhat hesitant with using an automated tool to help with sharing posts. For one – I need to make sure I share my posts with readers of my newsletter first. Then I give it a few days before I blast the news of a new blog post out to my social media platforms. I am such a control freak. And with the platforms being different – sometimes I like to use an alternate image for the blog and other times I like to tailor the message for my audience on each platform. Maybe one day I will try it out.
But once again – thanks for sharing your experience!
