This has been a week! Working 2 full time jobs and working on building a third can be draining π₯±, and the older I get the tougher it becomes.
Trying to remain focused on what you have scheduled, when it’s scheduled, what you need to accomplish the job… and each “JOB” requires a totally different set of tools, skills, and mindset. If you run behind on one task, it seems to multiply through the others and before you know it, you are having to Re-Schedule and work around other Scheduled Jobs… I know I am the only one that has this kind of issue…π
Having a Strong “WHY” is a MUST when we have days like this and I am here to say, I am blessed to have such a “WHY.”
In Honor of my “WHY”, we have been working on something that we believe can give even more Value to our readers. We had originally decided we were going to share it exclusively with our Subscribers… Instead…We thought that it might be in your best interest and ours, to share this Special event with all of you.
We have been working on our “DREAMS DISCOVERED” Monthly Newsletter. Let’s Face it, Out of Sight, Out of Mind… π We were thinking π€… If you were never able to see our Newsletter, you wouldn’t be able to see how much Value it had and what you would be missing out on.
So…
Today we decided to share that Very First Newsletter with all of you… π²
This is only one of the Bonuses you can expect to see by signing up for our Newsletter.
We are always looking for ways to increase the Value that we can share with you.
Look and see what you think. Tell us what you like and what you dislike about the Newsletter. By doing so, it will help us to improve our content.
Our entire Newsletter was created in “Canva” and with its Free Version… π
What we want to know… Does Our Newsletter provide Value, or should we just drop it altogether?
Harper Says:
It’s always good to have another set of Eye’s look over what you do.
We ask our Mentors and Coaches to look over what we do, Now we are asking you to do the same because we Value your Opinion!

Thanks!

David – You are busy, my friend! I do agree with you on all your points and honor your WHY to get in this business. I keep hearing great stuff about Canva so I think I will give it a look. Thanks for the confirmation. Hoping you get a nap in today to recharge from your busy and worthwhile life! π
Ernie, Thank you! Running 2 companies during the week and 1 of those on the weekend does get tough. I did however make it back home in time to spend a few hours with my “WHY” before her mom picked her up… Always Awesome! No matter how tired I am.
I do like Canva, it has a learning curve like most things, but once you get something saved, you can then make a copy and modify it. I have only dented the surface of what it can do, but I look forward to expanding my knowledge of Canva in the future. I believe Alison @ rookietorichesride.com uses Canva as well, (she is a lot better at it than I am…LOL)
Congratulations on the first of your monthly newsletters. I was interested to read about comment love. I see it on websites but am not too sure what the benefit to the blog owner is. Is it just to add value for the commenter or is there a benefit to the blog owner as well? I also did not know there was a basic and paid version. I will need to look into this a bit further. Thanks
Tony, thanks for the comment. When we first talked to Andrew about “CommentLuv” there was only a paid version of the plugin. It had not been updated for several years. Whwen Andrew updated it, he decided that he was going to add a paid version with a lot more options. I see the benefits to the Blog Owner as being the same as the benifits to the one that comments. As a blog owner, we “blog hop” from blog to blog, in doing so, we can leave our name and also a link to our last post. Exposure to other Bloggers is also a plus as we share links to their sites and in turn they should see our comments there as well. The more people see our name, the more they come to Know us π
I love Canva; it is such a great tool! Like you, I work multiple jobs and wear many hats, and it can be overwhelming. My friends joke that I never sleep. Lately, I have been trying to wake up early to work on my affiliate marketing business, then take a break to be present and have breakfast with my family, then off to work my 9 to 5 ( well 12:30-9), then home again to work on my publishing business. It can be overwhelming. Having a WHY is a great tool, and yours is really cute:) Hang in there. All your hard work is setting the foundation for great things; time management is the key, as is setting realistic SMART goals!
Thank you Alison, I have people ask me the same all the time… I had someone ask me the other day, “What does your wife think about you working all these long hours?” My reply was, “When I see her, I will ask…) I know it’s tough, and sometimes we don’t really feel like doing what we must… but one look at the “WHY” and it’s enough to push me to find that needed time… and you are SPOT ON with the time management being the key, that extra 15 minutes that you find here and there all add up! One step closer to that Smart Goal as well π Keep taking those steps!
Your newsletter looks fantastic and held my interest. Your Canva creation is fun, too. I, too, use Canva more and more. It is intuitive yet I would do well to take a few tutorials!
The most important thing is to learn and take action!
Kate, thank you for your kind words! We are always learning and working with new software tools. The new Affiliate System is beyond what I could have Imagined it to be, with all of its’ tools I have been able to eliminate several of the tools that I used in the past. It’s always about learning… if we are learning, we are taking steps toward success! π

David! The Newsletter preview looks absolutely wonderful! I am very impressed with the design, and of course, it brings great value. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am a Canva user as well and I simply love all that can be done in that platform. My question to you, though, is this: Are you going to imbed the document into your emails, or just provide the link to the document within your emails?
Thank you Lauren, Our plans are to set the newsletter up to send to our subscribers as a link in our emails. This would give them the ability to download on the run and read later, if needed, outside of our email content. We also plan on tracking the newsletter link, so we can see how effective it may be. We thought it might be a good idea to provide a “See what you might be missing” element to the Blog Post on our first one…. Also, If you noticed, we used “Issue Numbers” instead of a “Month”… we wanted the ability to be more flexible in the future…
David, working two jobs and building a business is very hard. Plus a family to look after. Like you say your WHY is very clear and once established in your affiliate marketing, you will have the time and the money to live the free lifestyle that you wish. Youβre doing really well keep going and it will happen soon thanks,
Thank you Atif for your inspiration! I keep moving forward and I believe the “Affiliate System” is a perfect tool to use to get us established. Thank you for your support, We are looking forward to the Journey ahead, one step at a time!
David
You are a very busy man! I really liked the newsletter preview. Itβs clean and adds value. I use Canva a lot both in my day job and for building my business, a valuable resource.
I always look forward to the βHarper saysβ part.
Thank you, Sarah! Harper is a bigger part of our business than I am. I learn from her daily. I enjoy using Canva and I know I have only scratched the surface of what we can do with it. We just keep talking a step toward Success which each thing we learn.

David,
We all have very busy schedules & trying to fit it all in is quite the challenge as you have discovered.
The question I have is what tools do you use to keep yourself organized and on track?
I have discovered that the more I do the more I have to. I know prioritizations is key..
Would love to hear your thoughts on this.
CJ
CJ, thanks for the comment. This is a fairly complex question for me to answer… Let me explain… It’s 12:20 am now as I am responding to your comment. I’m up at 4:30am and heading out the door to the machine shop by 5:15am as we open at 6:00. We are currently working 8 hour shifts so we are off at 2:30pm. By the time I shut everything down, it’s close to 3:00pm. When I lock the door, I immediately start my Locksmith jobs that are scheduled for the day and any jobs that come in before I’m finished or until I decide I have had enough. I could be re-keying Commercial Store locations, Re-keying residential houses, making car keys and fobs, Unlocking Cars, Houses… etc. (You get the picture) You can schedule some of the work but not all, as it comes in whenever a person has the need. It is not uncommon for me at all to come in at 9:00/9:30pm. So to answer your question, I can not have a set schedule. If I get to the machine shop early, I try to work on my blog post for about an hour checking emails, filling out my tracking sheet, and maybe catching 1 or 2 Blogs. When I get home, after the grandbabies are gone, I try to put in another hour. Since I only do the locksmithing on Saturday and Sunday and not the machine shop, I’m usually up at 4:30am and working on the business for 3 hours unless I have an early job scheduled… I do the same on Sunday… This is when I work on emails, Blog Post, Homework, research and content creation. I’m in it for the Long term and like Dean says, I’m not looking to get rich quick, I’m looking to get rich forever. I have had this type schedule for at least the last 25 years. Doesn’t leave much time for other things, but it does keep me outta trouble! π
