We had a Very Eventful weekend!
After transferring and testing our website and funnels in the new Affiliate System, we tweaked our Facebook ad just a little to re-direct it to our new workflows and webpages.
Then we were presented with trying to find a way to transfer our existing leads out of Builderall and over to the Affiliate System. We didn’t think there would be an easy way to do this…
We first emailed our existing list in Builderall about the changes that were taking place so it wouldn’t catch them off guard and asked them to re-submit the opt-in form and we provided the link to do so.
After doing a little further investigation, we found we had a way to import a CSV file into Affiliate System and how to export one out of Builderall.
We couldn’t figure out how to match all the import fields, but we did match the “Name”, “Email” and “Date”… It was then just a matter of linking our imported list (which we saved under a new name) to whatever Workflow we wanted. We decided to add them to our “single opt-in” workflow. This workflow sends a confirmation email to all the contacts we selected. This allows us to inform and keep the contacts that are interested in following us as well as weed out the ones that do not open our emails.
We did notice after the changeover, we had a drop off in our Facebook Lead Ad Opt-ins, even though our ad manager was showing that we had more leads…
We were able to use the Facebook Lead Ads Testing tool to see what was going on… (Hard to find the tool so we did a search and included the link below)
https://developers.facebook.com/tools/lead-ads-testing/
This tool allows you to test your API connections and your Facebook Lead Ad Forms by creating a “Test” Lead…
By testing our form, we discovered that we did indeed have a broken link from our Form to our Lead List…
We opened Affiliate System and went to Settings/Integrations/Facebook Form Field Mapping – We discovered that we had not mapped the fields in our new Facebook Lead Ads Form.
Once we completed the Mapping of our new form, we tested the links again and the new “Test Lead” was added to our list and the workflow worked as it should.
Always Make Sure to test your Links, Forms, and Workflows! If something feels like it’s not right… Double Check your work and test again!
We are in Love with the New Affiliate System and we are excited about what all it has been able to do and what we can do with it in the future.
Here is to Dreams Discovered!
