What does “Independence Day” mean to you?
Here in the US, we celebrate July 4th as our Independence Day.
According to Wikipedia, Independence Day, known colloquially as the Fourth of July, is a Federal Holiday in the United States which commemorates the ratification of the Declaration of Independence by the Second Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, establishing the United States of America.
John Adams wrote his wife Abigail on July 3 about the resolution of independence:
The second day of July, 1776, will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more.
Adams’s prediction was off by two days. From the outset, Americans celebrated Independence Day on July 4, the date when the Declaration of Independence was approved, rather than on July 2, the date when the resolution of independence was adopted.
We can only Imagine the feelings surrounding the decision to separate from Great Britian.
It was evident people wanted a change. It was obvious they wanted to change the situation in which they found themselves and take control of their own destiny.
Imagine how things would be different today if those same people decided not to change their Journey…

In my Opinion, the day you decide you want to change AND take your very first step in doing something about it, that should be the date you declare “Your Independence Day” when it comes to Affiliate Marketing.
I’m not suggesting that you tell your Boss to take a hike or sell everything you have and invest it all in your new business. What I am saying is, once you have decided to make a change and you are determined to do so, day one in your journey has begun.
Many people, Including myself, have dabbled in a variety of online business models to generate an extra income stream.
I am willing to say, until Dean’s “Internet Profits” came into our view and part of our life, and we decided to order and read “The Iceberg Effect”, we really didn’t understand the dedication that would be involved to insure our success.
Until I decided to establish my real “WHY”, I did not have what I NEEDED to be successful.
Now That I do have that “WHY”
I do have that Determination
I do have that Mindset to succeed
I do have the ability to accept failure as being a part of the learning process and not as a reason to quit
I have declared my “Independence Day” and refuse to accept “Just Getting By” as being the standard of living we must all agree to as being “Normal”.
